Sky Diving over Szeged

In Hungary I had an amazing surprise. My partner bought me a sky dive. I had told him about my great aunt who sky dived at an old age and made it into the papers. I told him that one day I needed to jump out of a plane. Granted… I did mean once I had some grey hairs but isn’t this a blog about not waiting around and doing things now?

It was an amazing experience and I had zero fear. The feeling closest to fear was when my brain was trying to contemplate what was happening during the 45 second free fall from 3500 metres in the air! It honestly happened so fast I didn’t even have time to understand what was happening!

You can see a video of me falling 3500 metres after jumping out of a plane. It is definitely an experience that is worth the money.

If you can save and put aside around £100 for a bucket list experience then DO IT! What’s the worst that can happen!?

It doesn’t have to be in Hungary.  There are places near London too! such as skydivelondon. You could also look at GroupOn as they often have vouchers. If  you’re sceptical about jumping out of a plane you can start with indoor sky diving! You can also find vouchers for this on GroupOn.

The Balaton 

In Hungary there is no ocean as the country is in the centre of Europe. This doesn’t mean that people who love beach holidays can’t have a dream holiday in Hungary. Lake Balaton is the largest lake in the Centre of Europe and is the equivalent to the beach in other countries. Here you can find people sun bathing, people swimming, boat rides, great food and ice cream!

There is else something that makes it very special. Around the coast line the shoreline there are so many places to visit! I have travelled 3 hours by car to the Balaton in both 2016 and 2017.

Tihany in 2016

Tihany is a beautiful village on the north shoreline of the Balaton. Here you can find museums, souvenir shops, beautiful views and lavender flavoured good. Have you ever had a lavender flavoured ice cream or iced drink? Here you can! Lavender is very popular here and you can smell lavender while taking a walk around the hilly village.

So far it is definitely one of the most beautiful places for a good view in Hungary.
